“I became aware of the dangers of Breast Cancer and the need for early detection at the age of 14,” says Ken. “That summer my Aunt “Chickie”, who helped raise me, told me about Breast Cancer. She explained that she had both of her breasts removed and reconstructed because of breast cancer. She found the cancer herself while doing a self exam and showed me how to examine myself. A year later the reconstruction caused some issues and she chose to have the implants removed. She never looked back. She beat it and I was blessed to be able to spend another 38 years with her.” Read more
