Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars in pink

My son and I have been debating over his wanting to purchase a pair of “Converse Chuck Taylor All Star High Top basketball shoes.” I personally can’t see spending $59.99, plus tax on a pair of shoes.
He tried on a pair last week and looked liked Goofy wearing basketball shoes.
I have to admit that I do like these “Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low tops in pink.”
They do look cute, don’t they? I hear they are comfortable too. An Amazon reviewer said ” For something seemingly so flimsy, they’re pretty durable.”
Looks like I might be change my mind on allowing him to purchase a pair of Converse. What do you think?
