People across the world will soon be wearing pink to show that bullying will not be tolerated.
Bullying is a major problem not just in our schools, but online as well. According to statistics 42% of children have been bullied while online. Bullying can have serious long-term effect on children who are bullied.
Wednesday, February 25, 2009 is “Wear Pink Anti-Bullying Day.”
The day was initiated after a grade nine student in Cambridge Nova Scotia was harassed, threatened and called a homosexual for wearing a pink polo shirt to school.

Very innovative idea for a Pink theme. ^^ I knew I’ve seen this Blog Title somewhere familiar.
That’s terrible, wearing pink and been insulted. Since when colour is a part of descrimination??? Unacceptable! I’ll wear pink on 25th Feb!
What a wonderful idea!
And Shirt!
My pink roses T-Shirt would fit perfect for that
I washed some whites with red…does that count. Never actually bought a pink shirt.
All I can see when I look at that shirt is some bully using it to hold a sack of quarters while he beats the living hell out of the poor kid who’s mom made him wear it. Bullys cannot be broken. They end up getting arrested, but they’re never broken.
I am with you on this, I will wear pink on the 25th. This is a great idea, I love it and I will be passing this on!
Love and Blessings,
AngelBaby
I’m heartened to see this issue finally getting the attention it deserves. It’s time to take bullying in all its forms out of the shadows. Good on you for spreading the word so effectively!
This is a great idea, I’ve pulled out my pink outfit and am ready for the 25th! Yaaay Pink Power!
It’s a problem, for sure. Well done for supporting individual freedom, as opposed to mob rule
I’ll be happy to wear pink on the 25th.
Well done for standing up and being counted, I will wear pink on the 25th and will pass your message along, best wishes Agnes
Unfortunately bullies don’t only target children. I’ve had several co-workers who bullied their way into more hours, better pay, whatever you can think of. Fortunately they also bullied their way out of their job.
It’s sad to see children bullying other children because of things they don’t understand. That’s the usual reason for bullying. I’ll wear pink on the 25th to support this cause.
I’m wearing pink today!
