Hello Kitty themed rifle in pink

Jim’s Gun Supply is painting guns pink with a large pink Hello Kitty logo on them. These pink guns look like children toy guns and many police officers are concerned. I can’t say I blame them. The gun certainly looks like a toy to me.
The CNN.com video story below warns about the evils of these painted guns.

What happens if some poor child picks up one of these guns and pulls the trigger? Just last week a 10-year-old boy shot his younger sister in the face after she refused to give him a bag of potato chips and now a gun shop is painting guns with children characters on them. This is down right frightening.

Honestly? Words fail me. That is one of the most stupid things I have ever seen in my entire life. I think the person that decided that should be stood agaisnt a wall, then give the gun to a 10 year old (not loaded obviously) and then see what the person thinks about their stellar invention.
If someone needs a gun that looks like that then they need to evaluated.
Adults think little things like that are humorous, children do not know
any better. The reason so many kids are hurting kids with guns is
because their parents are to lazy sitting on their butts to teach the
kids the dangers that come with them. The guns are never the problem,
it is who’s hands they end up in. Nice pink blog here.
I’ve seen it happen before, criminals can’t get hold of a real gun will by the fake ones, paint them black and use them in a robbery.
Jim from Jim’s Gun Supply has made TWO guns with the Hello Kitty logo on it. That’s it. Two. He made the first one because a legal gun owning adult sent their firearm to him and asked for the logo. Jim didn’t even know what the logo was until after he made it. The 2nd person saw the picture (legal gun owning adult), and wanted it done for his wife. If this is one of the most stupid things you have ever seen, then talk to the gun owner who requested it be done.
What does a story of a 10 year old boy shooting his sister have to do with a painted gun? Did he use a DuraCoated gun? No he didn’t. In fact, there has been no documented cases of Duracoated firearms being associated with juvenile violence.
Eric, I see you were searching “painted guns” in Google.
Eric, It has everything to do with a painted gun. What if a child picks up this painted gun thinking it’s a toy and shoots their sibling. Then what?
So what! They may not be mass producing pink Hello Kitty guns, but one should not be painting guns to look like toy guns.
OK…whoever made this post does not know anything about firearms of firarm saftey…I wish I did not even stumble on this as it makes me sick…in all the examples you use about “what if a child picks it up and thinks its a toy” you are mssing the REAL PROBLEM!!! Why was the gun left unsecure?????? What would this have to do with what color it is…if an adult wants a custom gun its FINE…if they leave it unsecure around children, NOW you have a reason to rant…you anti gun people kill me…move to russia or china if you hate gus they ban them thier along with most other rights…you know what the first thing Stalin and Hitler did was???? BANDED GUNS!
